Francis House provides a home from home where families can receive professional care, support and friendship. Francis House is open to all families who have children diagnosed as having a life threatening or life limiting condition and are under sixteen years of age on referral.
Care is given free of charge, regardless of faith or cultural background.
Many people are afraid of the word ‘hospice’ it makes us think of disease, incurable illness and ultimately death, yet the word actually means “a house of rest and refreshment for travellers”.
