This page sets out what this site can and cannot do around gambling, and points to independent sources of help. It covers only what has been built into these pages, not what happens once a reader leaves them.
Scope
This site does not run accounts, take deposits, verify age or apply any control over how someone gambles. There is no login, no registration and no form of any kind on this build, so there is nothing here that can switch on a deposit cap, a loss cap, a reality check, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion, and nothing here that can check or enforce one. Controls of that kind exist only inside an account held with an operator, arranged and managed at that operator's own site. Nobody's age is checked on this site either; any age check happens at the destination, not here. Each of the ten operator listings ends with the same line asking the reader to check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility and terms belong to that destination and can change without notice. The moment an operator link is followed, the destination's own rules, checks and account controls take over; nothing published on this site reaches that far.
Help
Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, are set to nofollow, and open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.
Practice
Deciding the amount before starting, and treating it as spent the moment play begins, removes the pressure of deciding in the middle of a session whether to stop. Chasing a loss tends to increase the size of the loss, since the decision to continue is being made to recover money already gone rather than for the entertainment itself. Keeping gambling out of borrowed money keeps the loss contained to what was set aside for it. Taking breaks during a session interrupts the momentum that makes stopping feel harder the longer play continues. Involving someone else as soon as gambling stops feeling like entertainment brings in a second perspective before a habit sets further.
Age
The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing.
